South East European stocks fell sharply on Friday in line with rest of Europe, where major bourses fell into negative territory as investors fled to safer assets amid rising concerns about growth due to an escalation in geopolitical tensions. Bucharest led the losses in the SEE region with the BET index shrinking by 5.35% mirroring the mood in global markets which turned quite bearish.
