South East European stocks turned in a mixed performance on Tuesday with investors remaining skittish after the U.S. revealed active discussions with European governments about banning imports of Russian crude oil and natural gas. Meanwhile, as commodity prices soar, the European Union is considering joint bond sales to finance energy and defense spending to counter the fallout from the crisis in Ukraine, Bloomberg reported. Investors also eye U.S. consumer inflation data due Thursday for additional clues about the pace of the Federal Reserve’s monetary tightening.
