South East European markets closed mostly in the red on the last trading day of March, a month marked by geopolitical uncertainty and concerns over rising inflation. Shares on other major European stock market indices also traded with losses at the closing bell of Thursday’s session as the clashes in Ukraine continued. The pan European Stoxx 600 declined 0.89%. The pan-European STOXX 600 index recorded a gain of about 0.8% this month, but posted a loss of about 6.3% in the January – March 2022 quarter, the steepest quarterly drop in two years.
