South East European markets kicked off the new trading week mostly in the green despite geopolitical tensions, renewed concerns about inflation and tighter monetary policies. Major stock markets in rest of Europe also closed higher as the UK and the EU said they are considering imposing new sanctions on Russia over its military operation in Ukraine. In politics, Serbia’s incumbent president, Aleksandar Vucic, has secured 59.5% of votes in a presidential election, the State Election Commission said after counting 87.67% of ballots.
