Australia’s business conditions and confidence improved last month, survey results from the National Australia Bank (NAB) released on Tuesday showed. The business conditions index doubled to +18 in March, while confidence rose 3 points to +16.
UK
The UK unemployment rate declined to 3.8% in the three months to February 2022, 0.2 percentage points down from the previous quarter, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) stated in its report published on Tuesday.
JAPAN
Producer prices in Japan rose by 9.3% yoy in February 2022, data by the Bank of Japan showed on Tuesday, exceeding market expectations. On the monthly basis, the PPI went up by 0.8%, slightly below market expectations.
CZECH REPUBLIC
The Czech Republic’s unemployment rate stood at 3.4 % in March, the Czech Labour Office has reported, in line with market expectations. “Employers are currently looking for new employees in agriculture, forestry, construction and logistics, among others. They are also interested in skilled craftsmen and manufacturing workers,” said Viktor Najmon, director general of the Labour Office.
