South East European stocks turned in another mixed performance on Wednesday in line with rest of Europe where major markets closed flat, with investors largely making cautious moves amid concerns about the ongoing war in Ukraine and rising inflation.  Cristian Popa, a board member of the National Bank of Romania  said on Tuesday more monetary policy tightening was needed to cushion the impact of rapid inflation. Market focus is attuned to the European Central Banks’s policy decision on Thursday, as the Governing Council balances slowing growth and record-high inflation, increasing the risk of stagflation.
