Equities in South East Europe turned in a mixed performance on Tuesday with investors’ attention focused on the latest developments in Ukraine as the conflict showed no signs of easing. Growth worries also weigh on markets after the World Bank reduced its global growth forecast for 2022 by nearly a full percentage point. The International Monetary Fund also cut its world growth projections, now estimating a growth rate for 2022 of 3.6%. This represents a 0.8 percentage point drop from its forecasts published in January.
