South East European stocks advanced on Thursday, a day after the U.S. Federal Reserve struck less hawkish tone than some investors had feared. Athens, Belgrade and Ljubljana bucked the trend. Earlier today, the Bank of England (BoE) raised the key interest rate in the country by 25 basis points at a time when millions of U.K. households are grappling with skyrocketing living costs. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed down by 0.8%. Concerns about higher rates, inflation, the economic outlook and the ongoing war in Ukraine remain.
