South East European (SEE) markets advanced on Monday mirroring the trend across the Old Continent. Athens led the gains in the SEE region. Investors cheered reports suggesting that the United States is mulling lifting some tariffs on China to fight inflation. Meanwhile, American citizens are worried about the state of the US economy, according to a poll jointly conducted by the Wall Street Journal and social research organization NORC. The latest U.S. inflation reading at the end of the week will be a key focus for investors. Markets also were awaiting a meeting of the European Central Bank
on Thursday and of the U.S. Federal Reserve next week.
