Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday that China is working on opening up its economy and welcomes any foreign investments that would aid the country’s development. He also stressed that the current interruption in global chain supplies, rising prices and inflation can only be beaten with “solidarity” and “cooperation.”

Vladimir Putin – Russian President
The head of state stated on Wednesday that Russia’s macroeconomic policy is effective, despite the economic sanctions imposed by the West. Putin said that the government is taking “comprehensive measures” aimed at mitigating the negative effects of sanctions and Moscow is reorienting economic flows toward “reliable partners” and “foreign economic contacts.”

Spain’s premier said on Tuesday that his country supports Ukraine’s candidacy for the European Union. “This afternoon, I had a conversation with President Zelensky and conveyed to him our country’s support for granting Ukraine candidate status to the European Union,” Sanchez said.
