Sajid Javid – Health Secretary

Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid both announced they were quitting in letters posted to Twitter within minutes of each other on Tuesday evening. Sunak said the public expected government to be conducted “properly, competently and seriously”. Health Secretary Sajid Javid echoed this, saying the government was not “acting in the national interest”.


Josep Borrell – European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy 

Europe does not want to go to war with Russia while stressing that there is a “realistic possibility” that the battle for Sloviansk will be the following key in their campaign to secure the Donbass region, Borell stated Wednesday, in an interview with Yomiuri.


Yoon Suk-yeol – South Korean President

Yoon Suk-yeol has ordered the nation’s military to swiftly and firmly respond to any provocations by Pyongyang. “He stressed that it is the military’s mission to defend the people’s lives, property, territory and sovereignty at all costs, and that we must firmly show our resolve to do so,” the presidential office announced on Wednesday,  according to Yonhap.
