South East European stocks turned in a mixed performance on Thursday with investors staying largely cautious, reacting to the European Central Bank’s first rate hike in 11 years, and amid persisting concerns about slowing growth and rising inflation. Investors also monitored ECB President Christine Lagarde’s press conference and her comments on the outlook, recession, inflation, TPI and the next monetary policy meeting. Lagarde said: “Inflation continues to be undesirably high and is expected to remain above our target for some time. The latest data indicate a slowdown in growth, clouding the outlook for the second half of 2022 and beyond.”
