Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in an interview with Cadena SER on Thursday said that the government will cut the value-added tax (VAT) on natural gas from 21% to 5% from October until the end of the year, with the option of further extension.


High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell after the EU ministers’ meeting in Prague on Wednesday voiced his support for the revival of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal on Wednesday. “I am hoping that in the coming days we are not going to lose this momentum and we can close the deal” he said.


Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in an address to the Central Asian country’s parliament on Thursday said he plans to call a snap presidential election this autumn and will reduce the presidency to one seven-year term.


On Wednesday, the presidents of Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez, and Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, toured work on a new binational bridge that will integrate the so-called Bi-oceanic Route that runs through northern Argentina to Chilean ports.
