The annual inflation rate in Germany was confirmed at 10.0% in November 2022, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said on Tuesday, remaining well above the European Central Bank’s target of about 2%.
UK
The unemployment rate in the UK edged higher to 3.7% in the three months to October of 2022 from 3.6% in the previous period, , the Office for National Statistics reported on Tuesday.
MEXICO
Mexico’s industrial production growth climbed a seasonally adjusted 3.3% year-on-year in October, easing from a 14-month high in September, largely due to a slowdown in manufacturing output, data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography showed on Monday.
INDIA
Consumer price inflation slowed to 5.88% in November from 6.77% in October, according to data released by the statistics ministry on Monday, coming within the Reserve Bank’s tolerance band of 2% to 6% percent for the first time this year.
SWITZERLAND
The economy will grow slowly in 2023 but will not face a “severe recession” the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) stated Tuesday. In the case of energy, SECO said that “there will be no energy supply shortages either this or next winter.”
